Descon: workplace health and stress management
An interactive management session that treated stress as a product of systems and culture, not only a personal issue.
Descon asked for a session that was academically grounded but highly engaging, suitable for a varied workforce in a short timeframe. The aim was to keep passive listening to a minimum and practical engagement high.
What we did
Why the format worked
The session took place in an open cafeteria. The informal setting encouraged people to take part, while the structure kept the content focused. Workplace examples and clear language kept the material practical.
Participants learned to see stress as a product of organisational culture and systems, not only a personal issue.
Recommended next steps
Follow-up workshops on emotional intelligence and resilience, so the ideas from the session become everyday habits.
